Coming from Major Airports

From Narita (New Tokyo International) Airport, take the JR Narita Express bound for JR Shinagawa Station; at Shinagawa, change to the JR Line Shinkansen (Bullet Train) headed for Atami. Overall travel would be about 2 hours. From Haneda Airport, take the Keikyu Airport Line to Shinagawa Station; at Shinagawa, change to the JR Line Shinkansen (Bullet Train) headed for Atami. Total travel would be only 70 minutes. If you are coming from the new Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Airport, take the airport bus to JR Kakegawa Station, and then get on the JR Line Shinkansen (Bullet Train) headed for Atami; you would be at Atami in about 90 minutes.

Coming from Tokyo

Atami, Japan (see map below) is a hot spring resort that is readily accessible from downtown Tokyo and Narita. To get to Atami, take the JR Line Shinkansen (Bullet Train) from the JR Tokyo Station or the JR Shinagawa Station, and you should be able to arrive in about 40 minutes.

Coming from Kyoto/Osaka/Hiroshima

Atami can also be approached from Kyoto/Osaka/Hiroshima, if you are taking the JR Line Shinkansen (Bullet Train) eastwards for Tokyo. You should expect to be on the train for several hours (from Osaka, expect 135 minutes). In other words, if you are thinking of traveling from Tokyo to Kyoto (or vice versa), Atami would be a great spot to spend a night.

Going to Mt. Fuji

Take the the JR Line Shinkansen (Bullet Train) or the JR Tokaido Line westbound from Atami, or eastbound from Kyoto towards Atami. A fantastic view of Mt. Fuji would be available in less than an hour if you get off at Mishima and other stations. Please ask the hotel staff for detailed directions.

Going to Hatsushima

If you are coming to Atami in a warm/hot season, we strongly recommend that you visit Hatsushima, a resort island off the coast of Atami. From Atami Seaport, it takes only 25 minutes by ship. The island has a fantastic outside summer pool, camp area, hot spring bath (onsen), and many other resort facilities. A great place to spend a day.

From Atami Station to Atami Seaside Spa & Resort, it takes about 10 minutes by walking. Walk along the arrows indicated on the map below, and we will be waiting for your arrival at the hotel.
